Philip Morris announces new investments in Italy: more than 250 jobs on the way

Philip Morris will open its second Digital Information Service Centre in 2023 in Marcianise, in the province of Caserta.

Philip Morris Italia prepares itself for new substantial investments in Italy. Two new centres are on the horizon for the company that once again focuses on the Belpaese to increase the market of innovative products without combustion, with a view to a smoke-free future, soon eliminating cigarettes, an objective that the group has been working towards for years.

The two investments concern two strategic areas for our country. Philip Morris will open its second Digital Information Service Centre in 2023 in Marcianise, in the province of Caserta.

The Philip Morris DISC Campania will be an advanced service centre for adult consumers of combustion-free products in Italy, managed by a leading digital consumer services company. Over five years, the total investment will amount to around 50 million euros.

The good news is also that the new centre will employ over 200 people. The opening of the Philip Morris DISC Campania comes after that of the DISC opened in Taranto at the end of 2020, where more than 300 people now work.

The Marcianise site will be operational by the first quarter of 2023 and will complement the company’s customer care activities in Italy. Like the Taranto plant, Philip Morris DISC Campania will be equipped with the most advanced and innovative customer relationship management (CRM) systems, based on a complete digitalization of processes and the use of the best cloud technologies.
