1 billion and 600 million for 5 innovation hubs distributed throughout Italy: this was announced by the Minister for Universities and Research during the event ‘Italy and Pnrr: the role of biotechnology’. Two of these centres will be in the south, in Campania and Sicily.

‘In the south of Italy, universities and research centres are a bulwark,’ said the minister, ‘it is the business world that has to work better’. The five centres that will receive funding will be made up of both the research world in the area and the business world and will work in the fields of agritech, gene therapy, biodiversity and sustainable mobility.
